This page is simple in a sense to tell that a web page doesn't have to be complicated. Here I am just going to tell the design tips that makes your site presentable, useful, and make your visitors find what they want fast. Remember, surfers does not like things slow them down.

Always tell the purpose of your website, and this should be on the top area of your page.

Make your popular item or the things that you want to promote appear just beneath the purpose.  

Crowded page where you tend to put everything under the sun will make your visitors sometimes miss the information. Mostly, the will identify the links that the should follow and click on it, go to another page and forget the rest. 

At anytime possible, explain a little bit about your links, so they know where are taking them to. 

If you are using table to organize your page. Forget it. Your code will be unmaintainable. Small changes could effect the rest. Get a hand on CSS. It is developed solely to facilitate ease of design.
